To activate either the Dashboard or the Navigation Pane you must go into the Setup Options and check “Yes” to either the Dashboard or Navigation Pane options on the first tab.
Dashboard
Besides the Setup Options the Dashboard can also be accesses under the “Go To” area of the “MiMS” menu and the “MiMS Main Menu”.
The Dashboard when activated it acts as the Main Menu. The classic Main Menu can be accessed by turning off the Dashboard, by clicking the Main Menu option located under the “Go To” menu in the MiMS Menu, or click the button at the top of the Dashboard area for Main Menu.
The Dashboard is divided into 4 sections allowing for the display of 4 different pieces of information. This allowing you to view up to 4 different pieces of information.
Customizing the Dashboard
To add or remove Dashlets from the Dashboard click on the “Customize Dashboard” button in the upper right corner of the Dashboard.
Once inside the customization area each of the 4 Dashboard areas will give 2 buttons, “Set” and “Clear”.
Setting Dashlets
Click “Set” to assign a section of the Dashboard a Dashlet.
There are several Dashlets to choose from, simply click on the name of the Dashlet you would like to have displayed.
To configure any setting for a specific Dashlet click on the Configuration button in the upper left corner of the Dashlet.
Clearing Dashlets
Click the “Clear” button on any set Dashlet and that section will be cleared.
Changing Dashlet sizes
To change the size of your Dashlets move your mouse until it is between 2 of the Dashlets and your mouse should turn into a sizing arrow.
Simply left click and hold and then move your mouse in one of the allowed directions. You will notice as you move your mouse that a bar displays to show you where the divider will be moved to. Once you let go of the click, the Dashboard will display with the new sizing.
**This sizing option can be done outside of the Dashboard customization area.
When you are finished working on your Dashlets click the “Finish customizations” button in the upper right corner of the Dashboard.
**All Dashboard settings are set on a per user basis so each user can have their own Dashboard settings.
Navigation Pane
The Navigation Pane is designed to provide shortcuts to various areas and view of data at a glance.
The Navigation Pane is located on the left side of MiMS and has several options available to choose from.
Each of the available Navigators covers a specific area.
The Navigation Pane can be “pinned” so it is always in full view or “unpinned” so it stays mostly hidden on the left side of MiMS until you move your mouse over it.
The control for pinning or unpinning the Navigation Pane is the little pin looking button located in the upper right corner of the Navigation Pane.
If you wish to minimize the Navigation Pane off to the side click on the Arrow button.
To adjust any settings regarding the Navigation Pane click on the Configuration button directly to the left of the Arrow button.
My Profile window
The My Profile window actually allows you to control configurations on the changing of the MiMS Style, the configuration of the Dashboard, and the configuration of the Navigation Pane.
MiMS Style:
This area allows you to control what visual style MiMS is running as.
Dashboard:
The primary category does not have any functionality to it because there are no primary functions about the Dashboard that can be altered.
The subcategories give you the ability to change any configuration setting about some of the Dashlets.
Navigator:
The primary category gives you the ability to change what Navigator is opened by default and control both the order and what Navigators are displayed.
The subcategories give you the ability to change any configuration setting about some of the Navigators.
