Publishing/Unpublishing Records

Records can easily be published or unpublished on Funeral Tech websites and options are available to set records to appear at the top of the obituary section.

Published records will display on the obituaries section of your website, while un-published records will only appear in the death records page on the admin side of the website until they are published.

Publishing and Unpublishing Records

To publish a record to display on the website, click on the name of the deceased on the “Death Records” page and then click on the "Publish Record" button at the top.

If you need to un-publish the record, simply click on the un-publish button after highlighting the decedent’s name.

The status column on the death records list will show which records are published or not published.

Make Record Current

For every record, you have the option to make the record current. This will keep the obituary at the front of the obituary section on your website, regardless of when the person passed or when their service was. This feature is useful in situations like delayed funerals or spring burials.

To make a record current, simply highlight the record on the death records page and click the "Make Record Current" button.

To undo this, simply click the “Undo Make Record Current” button. 

**If a record is made current, it will not automatically reset after a period of time. It will remain at the top of your obituary section on the website until you come in and manually undo it.
