URL redirects can easily be set up on Funeral Tech sites from the URL redirects page. To access the URL redirect page, click on the menu icon in the right corner of the admin side of the website.
Once the menu has opened, select the URL redirects option.
To add a redirect, click the "Create" button. On the redirect window that pops up, select the site for the redirect if you have multiple sites, add a pattern, destination and select a type.
The pattern refers to the URL you are trying to redirect, specifically just the part of the URL that comes after the domain name. The destination refers to what URL you want the user to be redirected to.
For example if I wanted to redirect funeralhome.com/obits to funeralhome.com/obituaries, I would set the pattern to /obits and the destination to funeralhome.com/obituaries.
The type has two options, permanent and temporary, these just simply determine if the redirect will remain permanently or just temporarily.
If you need to delete a URL you can check off beside the redirect to select it and then click the "Delete Selected" button.
