Commissions Overview

The commissions feature allows for commissions to be assigned to staff members on invoices and provides functionality to easily manage those commission methods and payments.

The commissions tab on a case will show the various invoice items and any associated commissions earned by staff. The top box will show a breakdown of the various invoice items and any commissions for each of those items.

The bottom box will show any staff members associated to the case and details on their commission earnings.

Commission Cancel/Alter

If commissions need to be cancelled or adjusted, the "Commission Cancel/Alter" tab will allow you to make those changes.

Commission Payments

The commission payments tab will show any payments that have been paid for earned commissions on any invoices for the case. An option to pay all pending commissions for the invoice is also available at the bottom of the page.

Commission Reports

The reports tab will allow you to generate reports on earned or paid commissions. To generate a report, select the desired report from the report drop down, set the date range and click the print icon to print the report.

Commission Setup

To set up commission groups, structure and other configuration settings, click the "Setup/Admin" button.

Group/Lead Source Setup

Members can be added or removed from groups using the arrow buttons between the staff and members boxes.

To create a new group, click the "New" button and enter the name and description of the group. Click the "Save" button and you will be able to add members to the group once the group is saved.

Below the group section, the lead sources section is available where you can add or edit lead sources.

Just like with groups, name and description can be edited for lead sources and if you need to add a new lead source, you can click the "New" button. Enter the name and description then hit the "Save" button to save the new lead source.

Commission Method/Sales Type

Commission methods can be set up under the commission method tab. Commission methods allow you to set up specific settings, timing and percentages for commissions.

When editing a commission method, multiple payment timing options are available to be selected from the drop down list.

A variety of options are also available to set down payment and scheduled payment percentages. Settings regarding reserve and advance payments for commissions are also available.

If a new commission method needs to be set up, click the "New" button, fill out the necessary information and click "Save" to save the method to the system.

At the bottom of the page, sales types can be configured. Sales types can have commission methods assigned to them so that whenever a sales type is selected on an invoice, the commission method is automatically determined.

Commission Structure

The commission structure tab gives you the ability to setup specific commission amounts for items or categories in the price list. After selecting a group and lead source, select a category from the price list and the items within that category will be listed out in the item list.

The Pre-Need and At-Need settings will allow you to set percentage or set amount for commissions earned on that category of products. Individual items can also be manually edited in the list to adjust commission percentages on a per item level.

Once you have set category level commission amounts, click the apply to category button to save those changes.

Commission Admin

Under the commission admin tab, information regarding staff members and their pending or reserve commissions is displayed. 

Options are available below the staff balance list to pay all pending payments or pay selected people.

Accounting options are also available to save accounting information regarding the commissions.
