On the funeral home defaults page, a variety of default settings and information can be configured on a branch by branch basis. To access this section, navigate to the settings page and select the funeral home defaults tab.
In this section, a branch can be selected from the top of the page and various different system defaults for that branch can be configured below.
Defaults and settings that can be configured in this section:
- Default Sales Tax
- Sets the default sales tax that will be applied on invoices for this branch.
- # Days Until late
- Sets the default amount of days until a due payment is considered late.
- Finance Charge
- Sets the default interest rate.
- Billing Package Options
- Sets the default for how packages display on invoices, either showing an itemized breakdown or only showing package name and price.
- Visitation Start/End Time
- Sets the default start and end time for visitations when they are added to a case.
- Default Preneed/Funeral Arrangement Duration
- Sets the default duration time in minutes for a pre-need or at-need arrangement.
- Use Long State Names
- Toggles whether full state names or abbreviated state names should be used on custom documents.
- Mark Cemetery Locations as Private
- Toggles whether cemetery locations will be automatically marked as private on cases or not.
- Use Date of Death For Invoice Date
- Toggles whether the date of death will automatically be applied as the invoice date or not.
- E-Pay Payment Options
- Various toggles available related to E-Pay that determine whether packages show as itemized or not on E-Pay invoices, if E-Check transactions are allowed or if credit card and ACH transactions are allowed for preneed.
- TIA Default Options
- Toggles whether the feed should be included in the request amount.
- Default Reason for Embalming
- Sets the default reason given for embalming.
- Default Reason for Vault
- Sets the default reason given for vault.
- Additional Tax (Not Commonly Used)
- Allows for custom local tax options to be added.
