Update Facebook Post Image

Photos on Facebook posts do not always update automatically, sometimes it takes a manual refresh to get new photos to display.

Once an obituary is posted to Facebook, the image on the post may not automatically update if a change is made on the obituary page of the website. In cases like this, the post on Facebook needs to be manually refreshed to pick up the change.
 
Here are the steps on how to refresh the image on a Facebook Post:
  1. First make sure to clear your browser cache and close out all browser tabs. This ensures that Facebook will recognize the new photo when you refresh it.
  2. Sign in to Facebook and locate the Facebook Post. Click the 3 dots in the upper right.
  3. Click the "Refresh Share Attachment" option towards the bottom of the list.
  4. Save the changes with the new obituary photo.

You should now see the newly updated photo on the Facebook post.
