[Tribute Pay](https://support.tributetech.com/tributemanagementsoftware/tribute-pay?hsLang=en) # Surcharging on Tribute Pay > ### **For customers opting to surcharge credit card payments, our newly-released surcharging feature automatically calculates and logs surcharges when processing a Tribute Pay payment. Please contact your Account Manager to activate this feature.**   ### To Make a Tribute Pay payment with a Surcharge Making a Tribute Pay payment with surcharging is no different than processing a normal [Tribute Pay payment](https://support.tributetech.com/tributemanagementsoftware/take-a-tribute-pay-payment?hsLang=en). Enter the \*base\* payment amount (no surcharge included) and the system will automatically apply the surcharge rate set up on your Tribute Pay account.  ![](https://support.tributetech.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-17-2026-05-58-30-2902-PM.png?width=670&height=253&name=image-png-Jul-17-2026-05-58-30-2902-PM.png) The surcharge will be dictated by the payment method type. | When Credit Card is selected, a surcharge will apply.
